Privacy Policy

When you use Shiddux, we collect:

• Phone number - your WhatsApp number, collected when you first message us. This is your primary identifier.
• Conversation history - messages exchanged with Shiddux on WhatsApp, used to build your contact card and surface relevant matches.
• Name and location - provided during conversation, used to personalise introductions.
• Email address - provided voluntarily, used to send introduction emails when a match is confirmed by both parties.
• Profile information - background, observance level, hashkafa, education, profession, and what you are looking for in a partner. Used solely to improve match quality.
• References - names and contact details of references you choose to provide. Stored privately and never shared without your consent.
• Introduction history - records of previews shown and introductions confirmed, used to prevent duplicate matches.
• Uploaded resumes - if a superconnector uploads a resume on your behalf, its contents are stored as part of your contact card.

We do not collect financial information, government IDs, or any data beyond what you share in conversation or via PDF upload. The one exception is the public professional profile information described under “If we found you through a public professional profile” below, which is how someone can be in our records before they have ever written to us.

Some members choose to connect additional context - their WhatsApp chat history and/or their AI assistant history (ChatGPT or Claude) - through UniData Bank (ω), our data vault, to get sharper introductions. This is entirely optional; you can be matched from the intake form alone. When you do connect a source, this is exactly how it is handled:

• AI history - you export your own ChatGPT or Claude history and it is de-identified in your browser before anything is sent. Anything medical, mental-health, or financial is dropped on your device. Only short, non-sensitive excerpts are summarised into a private interest-and-communication-style profile. Your raw conversations are never stored.
• WhatsApp chats - we only ever process your own outgoing messages. The content of messages other people send you is never stored - we keep only a timestamp, so we can gauge how responsive you are, never what anyone said. Your raw chats stay on our secure server and never leave it; only small, de-identified summaries of durable traits (interests, values, communication style) are derived from them.
• Archiving is an off switch. If you archive a chat in WhatsApp and leave it archived, we stop recording it right away and erase everything we had already stored from it - including messages you sent while it was unarchived - within about 15 minutes. (A momentary archive-and-unarchive may not register, so keep it archived to be sure.)
• You stay in control. Every derived summary is shared only with the apps and for the purposes you approve in UniData Bank. You can revoke any permission or delete everything at any time, and the derived data never influences an introduction beyond the permissions you have granted.
• Never sold. These summaries are never sold, and your raw AI or WhatsApp history is never shared with anyone.

We use your information to:

• Build a private contact card that helps us make thoughtful, relevant matches
• Surface compatible matches from within the Shiddux network
• Send a limited preview to potential matches before any opt-in
• Send introduction emails to both parties after mutual opt-in
• Prevent duplicate or unwanted introductions
• Improve the quality of future matches over time
• Process conversation content to operate and improve the service - including limited internal review of anonymized conversation samples to make our assistant more helpful

We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it outside of the introduction flow.

Sometimes a member asks to be introduced to someone with a particular background, and nobody already in Shiddux fits. When that happens we may search the public web - usually LinkedIn, sometimes another public professional page - for people whose public profile suggests they could be worth introducing. If we then write to you, it is a personal message from a person here, and it says plainly that we found your public profile and how to make us stop. This is the only way someone can end up in our records without having contacted us first, and it is worth being precise about what it involves.

• What we hold - your name, the link to your public profile, your city, your current role and employer, your education (where you studied and what in), a short note on why you might be a good person for this introduction, the public facts that note is based on, and the message we drafted to send you. Nothing else. We do not buy contact lists, we do not use anything that is not publicly visible, and we do not hold an email address or phone number for you unless you give us one. We hold no information about your personal life at all.
• What the member who asked is shown - your name, and a short line about the kind of person we found - your current role and employer, or where you studied, plus your city - and a sentence on why you might be a good fit. Because your profile is public, we show your name; we do not show your profile link, the public facts behind that sentence, or any way to reach you - never your home address, phone number, or email. None of the rest reaches them unless you join and both of you say yes to an introduction. We never tell you who asked, either.
• Where it is held - in our own database, and on an internal board we use to keep track of outreach. That board is run on Airtable, listed below with our other providers.
• How long we keep it - 30 days by default. The database record then deletes itself on schedule, without you having to ask. We clear the board copy by hand on a weekly sweep, so that copy can lag the database by up to about a week.
• How to stop it - reply “no thanks” to the message, or email us. Once we record that, normally the same day, the database record is deleted at our next daily cleanup and we delete the board row by hand. The one thing we keep is a one-way hash of your profile link - a fingerprint, not the link itself and not your name - which we check for 12 months so the same kind of search cannot surface you again.
• Your rights are the same - you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at admin@shiddux.com, whether or not you ever became a member.

Your information is shared only in these circumstances:

• With your match - when both parties opt in, your name and email are included in the introduction email. No other information is shared without your explicit consent.
• With service providers - we use Anthropic (AI processing), Resend (email delivery), Neon (database hosting), Cloudflare (the UniData Bank vault and infrastructure), Vercel (infrastructure), Exa (public web search, used only for the sourcing described above - it receives the description of who someone is hoping to meet, never who is asking), and Airtable (the internal board we use to keep track of that sourcing). These providers process data on our behalf and are prohibited from using it for their own purposes.
• With Meta / WhatsApp - messages sent via WhatsApp are subject to Meta's Privacy Policy in addition to ours.

We never share your profile, references, or conversation history with any third party outside of these providers.

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data
• Pause or withdraw your contact card at any time
• Opt out of WhatsApp communications by replying STOP
• Opt out of introduction emails via the unsubscribe link in any email we send
